Good video takes a lot of time and expertise to create. We believe it is poor stewardship to spend those resources to create a video that will only be used once or twice. Why not offer it to literally thousands of churches world-wide so they can benefit from it? That is the concept behind Muddy River Media. The reason we are able to provide these materials for free is because we are a mission organization that relies on donations and support from individuals, churches, organizations, businesses and foundations. We have set a goal of $45,000 for each video missionary we add to our organization.
  • $40,000 – Salary
  • $5,000 – equipment expenses, supplies, software/hardware upgrades
This translates into $3,750/month for a fully supported missionary who will devote full time to creating free media for churches. Currently we have one video missionary on staff, Mark Fogarty. Because of reduced donations this past year Mark has received a salary of $26,000. We are looking to additional monthly support to allow Mark to work full time for the long term. Once we have one full-time video missionary supported we hope to add another staff member, thus increasing the content we can offer. Every little bit helps, so a church or individual shouldn’t hesitate even if they can only donate a small monthly amount.
